Lockbox Storage - Old Mill Auction Terms
Contact and Documentation The winning bidder must contact the facility by 4:00 PM Central Time on the day the auction closes. To arrange payment and item removal, the bidder must call the office or visit in person. Payment and Deposit All payments must be made using a credit card. The deposit and winning bid amount must be processed as separate transactions. The deposit will be refunded to the same credit card used for payment. Removal of Contents A $200 cleaning deposit and the full winning bid amount must be paid before accessing the unit. The winning bidder may not rent the unit. All contents must be fully removed, and the unit must be left clean. A Property Manager must inspect and approve the unit condition before the deposit is refunded. Use of the property dumpster or surrounding area for disposal is strictly prohibited and will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Access to the unit is allowed between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM on the agreed-upon dates listed in Section 1D of the Auction Deposit Receipt. The winning bidder must notify the Property Manager once the unit has been emptied for inspection. Release of Liability The owner, agents, and employees are not responsible for any bodily injury or death sustained by the winning bidder, their invitees, employees, or guests while on the premises. This includes injuries resulting from active or passive negligence.
Notice to Bidders
Lien laws must always be followed. The Storage Facility (Lockbox Storage - Old Mill) reserves the right to cancel or postpone auction in its sole discretion, including for (but not limited to) compliance with applicable lien and other laws and regulations.
All bids on the site are in $10 increments.
There is a non-refundable auction fee for purposes of the staff, paperwork and other logistical expenses to undertake the auction equal to the greater of (i) $10 or (ii) 15% of the unit sale price at auction.
Upon winning an auction you will be automatically charged a down payment of 10% of the unit sales price as a deposit that will be applied toward payment of the unit sales price.
Once the initial payment is collected you will receive an invoice for the remaining balance to be paid directly to the facility. You must have an invoice in order to access the unit.
Buyers must follow the facility’s auction terms. Auction terms are not created by StorageAuctions.com.
StorageAuctions.com does not allow last second bids to win. Bidding in the last two minutes will reset the time clock to 2 minutes, then an additional bid(s) will reset the 2-minute timer.
All sales are final and considered “as is.” Bids are considered a contractual agreement that must be fulfilled.
Units must be completely cleaned out and all trash must be removed from premises. No dumpsters privileges unless location specified.
Failure to fully completely clean out the unit will result in penalties.
