U-Haul Moving and Storage of West Hartford Auction Terms
**You must call Management (860-517-8114) to make an appointment to go to the location to purchase/empty unit!** Only store hours are available for cleanouts. Units MUST be emptied within 24 hours of auction closing. **Initial payment must be received within 3 hours of auction closing. Failure to make initial payment within 3 hours will result in buyer being marked as a "No Show". ** NO dumpster privileges. Purchases to be paid for in cash, credit or debit at the time of purchase. A $100.00 debit or credit ONLY deposit will be needed on EACH room purchased. U-HAUL reserves the right to bid or purchase any lot or space. Absolutely no U-Haul storage customers, whose items are being auctioned, may participate in any part of the proceeding auctions. If purchasing multiple units, you may contact Management to determine a longer clean out time frame if necessary.
Notice to Bidders
Lien laws must always be followed. The Storage Facility (U-Haul Moving and Storage of West Hartford) reserves the right to cancel or postpone auction in its sole discretion, including for (but not limited to) compliance with applicable lien and other laws and regulations.
All bids on the site are in $10 increments.
There is a non-refundable auction fee for purposes of the staff, paperwork and other logistical expenses to undertake the auction equal to the greater of (i) $10 or (ii) 15% of the unit sale price at auction.
Upon winning an auction you will be automatically charged a down payment of 10% of the unit sales price as a deposit that will be applied toward payment of the unit sales price.
Once the initial payment is collected you will receive an invoice for the remaining balance to be paid directly to the facility. You must have an invoice in order to access the unit.
Buyers must follow the facility’s auction terms. Auction terms are not created by StorageAuctions.com.
StorageAuctions.com does not allow last second bids to win. Bidding in the last two minutes will reset the time clock to 2 minutes, then an additional bid(s) will reset the 2-minute timer.
All sales are final and considered “as is.” Bids are considered a contractual agreement that must be fulfilled.
Units must be completely cleaned out and all trash must be removed from premises. No dumpsters privileges unless location specified.
Failure to fully completely clean out the unit will result in penalties.
