The proceeds of the public auction will first be applied to the costs of the sale and then to the unpaid rental fees and charges, and the excess proceeds, if any, will be paid to you. If you cannot be located, however, then the excess proceeds, if any, will escheat to the State of Montana as provided in Title 72, chapter 14 of Montana Code Annotated.
